Dr Shetty is the Secretary of the Pain Medicine section which is involved inadvancing the understanding of the mechanisms and treatment of pain. He has been delivering high-quality educational events at national and international levels.

Dr Shetty was awarded clinical excellence award at House of Lords in honour and recognition of his outstanding performance, dedication and continuing excellence in exemplifying the highest standards of service . This event was organised by Essex Medical Society.

Dr Shetty has been invited faculty at several courses conducted at the Royal College of Anaesthetists. He has delivered lectures and conducted workshops in various areas of pain medicine and Anaesthesia.

Dr Shetty has been invited as an international expert in Pain Management for proctoring doctors in managing patients with complex pain conditions. He was invited to manage patients and implant spinal cord stimulator in patients with challenging chronic pain conditions.
